How to do it
- Position yourself on the floor on your hands and knees, with your hands under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. This will be your starting position.
- Round your spine up toward the ceiling, tucking your tailbone under and letting your head drop. This is the cat.
- Reverse it: let your belly sink toward the floor, tilt your tailbone up and lift your head. This is the cow.
- Move slowly between the two, letting only your spine travel, and repeat.
Watch for
- Exhale as you round up, inhale as you dip
- Round the whole spine, not just the shoulders
- Slow — one breath per rep
