Side Plank
Also called Side Bridge.
Works Abdominals · also shoulders
Gear Body only
How to do it
- Lie on your side with your legs straight and stacked, and prop your upper body up on your forearm with the elbow directly beneath the shoulder. This will be your starting position.
- Raise your hips off the floor until your body forms a straight line from your ankles to your shoulders. Keep your neck in line with your spine and rest your top hand on your hip.
- Hold this position for the desired amount of time, breathing steadily throughout. Lower your hips to the floor, switch sides, and repeat.
