# What a calendar can and cannot do

physicalfeed lives inside calendars, and calendars set the rules below. We would rather you knew them before you start.

## Nothing is instant

Sessions arrive on your calendar’s schedule. Google refreshes it when it feels like it, often 8–24 hours. Add it today, train tomorrow. Changes to a program show up the same way.

On Apple, set it to check every hour or sooner. The add sheet suggests every week, and your last weights come down with each check — weekly is sessions behind. Google checks on its own, usually within a day. Nothing reaches a calendar instantly; the session page is always current.

## Android adds from a computer

Android: add it from a desktop. Google Calendar’s phone app can’t add a calendar from a link. Open your link on any desktop browser, add it there, and it syncs to your phone on its own. iPhone and Outlook work from the phone.

## It is its own calendar, and it is read-only

It arrives as its own calendar — its own name, its own colour, its own on/off switch. Removing it leaves everything else untouched.

Log on the link, not in the calendar. The calendar shows the session; the link in it is where you log. A calendar added from a link can’t be edited, which is also why yours stays tidy.

## It is a calendar

It’s a calendar, not a coach or a doctor. Nobody is watching your form. If you’re hurt or unsure, ask a professional. There is nowhere on physicalfeed to type a note, a message or a symptom, on purpose.
